I’m Renee Wilhite, a native Washingtonian, visual storyteller, and the proud owner and creative force behind RM Photography.

With more than two decades of photography experience, I specialize in creating relaxed, meaningful experiences that help you feel comfortable, confident, beautiful, and celebrated. Whether I’m capturing a milestone, family connection, professional image, wedding, or special event, I bring warmth, creativity, and a genuine love for people to every session.

I’m also a mother of three adult children, grandmother of two, and great-grandmother to a beautiful baby girl. Family, faith, service, and creativity have shaped the woman—and photographer—I am today.

From Public Service to Passion & Purpose
Before pursuing photography full-time, I dedicated 36 years to federal government service, including serving as a Legislative Affairs Specialist in the Office of Congressional Affairs. After retiring in 2015, I fully embraced my long-standing passion for photography, videography, and freelance makeup artistry.

My photography journey began in 2000, growing from a passion into a purpose: capturing people, celebrations, milestones, and stories worth remembering.

I’ve worked with clients from Corporate America, entertainment and hospitality, news outlets, online and print magazines, authors, entrepreneurs, families, and nonprofit organizations.

My experience also includes serving as a freelance photographer for COPA Style Magazine in Washington, D.C., and photographing events throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.

Photography has never been simply about taking pictures—it’s about creating an experience where you can be fully present in your moment.
